Services for DCP&P-Involved Families
Over twenty-three years of work alongside DCP&P and community partners supporting children and families through trauma, reunification and complex psychosocial circumstances.
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations
Full-battery psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults, including clinical interview, formal psychological testing, record review and a written report with findings and recommendations. Reports are prepared for case planning, court and school use. Bilingual evaluations conducted in Spanish where needed.
Therapy Services
Individual, family, couples and group therapy using trauma-informed and evidence-informed approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy and family systems approaches. Services are available in person and by telehealth.
Mariposa Healing Pathways
Mariposa Healing Pathways is a specialized outpatient program for children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse or other trauma. Services include individual, family and caregiver sessions using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and play therapy.
Appropriate referrals may include children and adolescents who have experienced sexual or physical abuse, neglect, trauma symptoms, or who need caregiver support.
Supervised Visitation
Supervised visitation is provided in a safe, structured and supportive environment at the Jersey City Heights office. Visits are supervised by a licensed mental health clinician and focus on communication, parent-child interaction, emotional safety and parenting skills. Reports may be provided when appropriate.
Individual or Group Structured Programs
Each program runs for eight weeks and is available individually or in a group format, in person or by telehealth. Programs can also be delivered for an agency on request.
Parenting for Healing and Growth
8-week Parenting Skills Program focused on parenting skills, parent-child relationships, safe and consistent caregiving, child development, communication, emotional connection, and discipline.
Finding Calm
8-week Anger Management Program focused on anger, triggers, emotional regulation, communication, coping, accountability, and healthier conflict responses.
Breaking Cycles
Breaking Cycles is an 8-week domestic violence psychoeducation program designed to help individuals recognize harmful relationship patterns, increase personal accountability, strengthen emotional regulation and communication skills, and develop healthier, safer relationships.
Referral Process
Referrals can be initiated by DCP&P case-carrying staff, attorneys, physicians, schools, therapists, and other community partners.
